The Final Sprinkler Report deadline for NYC Local Law 26 is July 1, 2019. The report must be filed no earlier than January 1, 2019. With this date just around the corner, RDM can assess your compliance and assist in making sure you meet the deadline.
Local Law 26 of 2004 – What is it?
Included in Local Law 26 of 2004 (LL26/04) is the requirement that all New York City commercial/office buildings over 100 feet in height must have a full system of automatic fire sprinklers installed by July 1, 2019.
The 14 Year reports prepared by a New York State architect or engineer will include the percentage of the building in which sprinklers have been installed, as well as how the remaining portions of the building will be made fully complaint.
The Final Sprinkler Report must be filed by July 1, 2019 with the Department of Buildings (DOB). Failure to file affidavits and reports on time will jeopardize the ability of the owner (or the owner’s successor) to claim a hardship extension of time to comply with the July 1, 2019 deadline.
